Welcome to Ward/Warden Vineyard
Ward/Warden Vineyard is well situated at an elevation of 2300 feet on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada near the town of Placerville, California. Our vineyard covers ten acres. It is sloped with mostly southern exposure and is planted equally with Barbera and Tempranillo vines.
We offer grapes for sale to both commercial and home wine makers. On our site you will find information about our grapes, what grapes are or will be available during the year, and links to sites of interest to wine makers.
Our grapes are available directly from us usually during a two to three week period in September / October. Use our website to reserve your grapes this year.
Awards
We are proud to announced that a 2007 Tempranillo wine made from our grapes by Fenton Herriott Winery took the gold medal at the 2009 El Dorado County Fair!!!
